The application of the LEP allows the search of a rapid way of the limits of professional exposure for chemical agents in Spain adopted by the INSST after its approval by the National Commission of Health and Safety at Work and are updated annually.The objective of this application is to facilitate compliance with Royal Decree 374/2001 which establishes the employers obligation to assess, among others, the risks arising from exposure by inhalation to a dangerous chemical agent, as well as the remaining applicable legislation.The search for the information can be done by the CAS number or CE number, by the name of the agent or by alphabetical order.
In the first case it is necessary to know the exact number; in the second the search reveals all the chemical agents in which the typed characters are contained, and the third case is an alphabetical search ordered by the initial of the compound (no numbers or Greek letters).To consult additional information such as toxicological documentation for the establishment of occupational exposure limits, sample tapes of chemical contaminants in the air and specific sampling methods and analyzes, refer to the INSST website.
